Sanctuary of Faith United Church of Christ

Our anthems range from the classics ( Bach, Handel, Mozart, etc. ) to spirituals, Early American tunes, traditional hymns or a variety of contemporary music. We have sung cantatas at Christmas & Easter and also prepared special music for Holy Week and Christmas productions . Several members have sung at Amberleigh, Beechwood & other Nursing Facilities as well as hosted a mass choir concert at Faith and other churches in our area.

We provide the sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of the month.

All who desire to know Christ’s presence are welcome to receive communion.

Nifty Fifties

The Nifty Fifty Club is a group for seniors and meets bi-weekly for lunches, bus tours, and other recreational and service activities, such as providing baskets of food for needy families during Advent. Some events last a couple of hours; others last the whole day. The Club has about 30 active participants, most of whom are retired. All members and friends of the church are welcome to participate.

Men's Luncheon Club

The Men’s Luncheon Club meets monthly for about two hours at different local restaurants for fellowship and conversation.
Restaurants are chosen for their good food and reasonable prices. The group has about a dozen active participants.
All men of Faith are welcome!

Women's Book Club

“There are no faster or firmer friendships than those formed between people who love the same books.” ~Irving Stone

Love to read and gather with friends? If so, then our Women's Book Club might be the perfect group for you to join. These wonderful women meet once a month (usually the second Monday of the month) during the day (often over lunch) to discuss the book they chose to read that month. Every book they read inspires meaningful “life experience” discussions, but no matter how serious their book discussions are, just getting together and chatting on a regular basis is always fun! All are welcome! If this is a group that you’d like to participate in, please call the church office for the location, time and book to read for the next Women’s Book Club gathering.

Men's Golf Group

The Men’s Golf Group meets weekly as part of the Amherst Senior Men's league, at Oakwood Golf Course (3575 Tonawanda Creek Road), during the warm weather months on Monday morning for 9 holes of golf, coffee, and conversation. Tee time runs between 7:00 - 9:00 am. For more details please contact the church office.
